Yangtze University was founded in 2003 by the merger of Hubei Agricultural College and Hubei Medical College of Health Workers.

Yangtze University was selected into the Education and Training Program for Outstanding Engineers of the Ministry of Education 2011;

In the soft science ranking of China University in 2020, Yangtze University is located at190;

Yangtze University ranks 20th in the ranking of 20 19- Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, the best discipline of soft science in China.

In the 2020 University Ranking of Hubei Alumni Association, Yangtze University ranks 174 in the whole country and 1 1 in the whole province.

3. The strength of dominant disciplines is outstanding, and the construction of other disciplines is thin.
