Shenyang jianzhu university University, approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the People's Government of Liaoning Province, is an institution of higher learning with the characteristics of architecture, civil engineering, machinery and other disciplines, focusing on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, management, science, literature, agriculture, law and art. It is a national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Colleges and Universities in the Midwest" 65438+.
The school was founded in 1948 as the industrial specialized school of the Ministry of Military Industry of the Northeast Military Region of China People's Liberation Army (Northeast Military Specialized School). After several changes, it has been transformed into Northeast School of Architecture and Engineering, Shenyang Institute of Building Materials Industry and Liaoning Institute of Architecture. Shenyang Institute of Building Materials Industry was listed as a key university directly under the Ministry of Construction of People's Republic of China (PRC) in June 1960. In May 2004, it was officially named shenyang jianzhu university, which is still in use today.
In the third round of national first-level discipline evaluation, six first-level disciplines, such as civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, urban and rural planning, landscape architecture and software engineering, rank among the top in China, ranking first or tied for first among universities in Liaoning Province.
