The history of the Central Academy of Drama can be traced back to Yan 'an Luxun Art Institute, which was founded in April of 1938+00. By 20 15, it had a history of 7 1 many years, during which it passed through the College of Literature and Art of North China United University and the three departments of North China University, and was merged by Nanjing National Theatre Academy.

1950 In February, 1949, the Central Academy of Drama was officially opened. In April, 2002, the inaugural meeting of the Central Academy of Drama was officially held. President Mao Zedong wrote the name of the school in his own handwriting. College leaders include Cao Yu, Zhang Geng, Guang William. J, Jin Shan, Xu, Zhang Geng, and others.

In April 2006, the Central Academy of Drama officially chose Du Wen Shuicheng, Zhenggezhuang Village, Beiqijia Town, Changping District as its new site. After six years of careful design and intense construction, the new site of the Central Academy of Drama in Hongfu Community, Zhenggezhuang, Beijing is finally ready to welcome its first batch of freshmen.
