2. 1 Department of Modern Physics, Chinese University of Science and Technology, Theoretical Physics
The main research field of theoretical physics is to explore the mystery of material microstructure, study the structure and motion law of atoms, molecules and elementary particles, and the evolution law of complex systems. It is the first batch of master's programs, doctoral programs and postdoctoral mobile stations in China. There are 8 professors (including 7 doctoral supervisors), 2 associate professors and 3 lecturers (all doctoral students who graduated in recent years). Organize teaching and scientific research in the following directions:

Modern quantum field theory and particle physics

Atomic and molecular theory and strong field physics

Introduction:

The main research directions of our group in the near future are atomic and molecular theory in strong field, interaction between strong laser field and plasma, and non-perturbation theory in quantum physics. Among the research projects undertaken by the National Natural Science Foundation in recent years, there are: "Theoretical study on the hierarchical collision of ultra-fine structure of interstellar molecules", "Laser-assisted electron-atom collision process" and "Higher harmonics generated by the interaction between ultra-short pulse laser and high-density plasma". One of the research projects of 863-ICF is "Study on Atomic Parameters in Strong Laser Field Environment". The number of articles published in recent years (1997-200 1) is about 5 1.

Quantum theory group

Introduction:

The Quantum Theory Group was formally established on February 22nd, 2002, and its director is Professor Wang Anmin. Theoretical Physics, a national key discipline under the Department of Modern Physics of the University of Science and Technology of China and the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the University of Science and Technology of China, has a complete post-doctoral, doctoral and master's training system. As of August 2008, there are 5 doctoral students and 7 master students in the Quantum Theory Group. And trained 1 postdoctoral, 7 doctors and 2 masters, and accepted 1 doctoral students for short-term exchanges between China and the United States. Based on three servers, we set up a local area network including more than a dozen PCs and workstations, and realized the management environment of sharing point service. At present, our group has undertaken a number of scientific research tasks including the "973" sub-project and the National Natural Science Foundation.

The research focus of quantum theory and its application is the development of basic theoretical framework, the research of basic physical concepts, the solution of important theoretical problems, the calculation of main physical quantities, the development of practical application and the suggestion of experimental scheme. It mainly includes: the exact solution and perturbation theory of quantum dynamics and quantum field theory and its calculation and application in multi-body strongly correlated system physics, quantum simulation and quantum computation, decoherence of open systems, quantum chromodynamics and particle physics; The calculation and application of quantum nonlocality theory in quantum entanglement, quantum information resources, quantum communication, quantum programming, quantum remote protocol and quantum internet, as well as quantum theory and application problems in other cross-fields.
