In 2022, the tuition fee for full-time academic graduate students in China University of Mining and Technology is 8,000 yuan/academic year, that for full-time professional graduate students is 1 10,000 yuan/academic year, 1 0.2 million yuan/academic year, and that for part-time graduate students is110,000 yuan/academic year.
As the only high-level university with distinctive features named after mining in China, the school has formed a discipline system and a multi-disciplinary school-running pattern with engineering as the main feature and coordinated development of science and technology, culture, management, teaching and art.
There are 2 national "double first-class" construction disciplines, one first-class discipline 1 discipline, eight national key disciplines in two disciplines, and one national key (cultivation) discipline 1 discipline. There are 6 dominant disciplines and 7 key disciplines in Jiangsu Province. 18 doctoral programs in first-level disciplines and 2 doctoral programs in professional degrees. Eight disciplines, including engineering, earth science, materials science, chemistry, mathematics, environment and ecology, computer science and social science, entered the ESI world before 1%, of which engineering entered before 1‰.

Shenzhen Research Institute, Energy Resources Strategic Development Research Institute and Western Energy Research Institute were established in Shenzhen, Beijing and Xinjiang respectively.
