Are college students residents?
Not exactly.

If you are called a college student after entering school, it doesn't mean that you have a residence permit, because you need to go through the formal process to get a residence permit. To apply for a residence permit, college students need to prepare:

1, a copy of my ID card and student ID card (the original should be brought for comparison) and a one-inch color photo with a white background.

2. I apply (need to state my basic identity information, college, department, grade, application reason).

3, college certificate (college certificate needs to clearly write my basic situation, grade and still studying instructions).

Significance of residence permit:

From "temporary residence permit" to "residence permit", the word difference reflects the great progress of urban management. From simple access registration to active service for floating population.

After the floating population is brought into the territorial management of the actual population, it will increase the social service and social security functions of the residence permit, so that the floating population can enjoy the necessary treatment in employment, medical insurance, children's education, renting a house, buying a car and buying a house. It reflects the transformation of the government's role from focusing on management to focusing on service.
