Different roles: counselors are mainly responsible for students' ideological and political education, students' daily management, employment guidance, mental health and the construction of student party groups; The class assistant is the usher when entering the school, the guide who is familiar with the campus, and answering all kinds of questions will also help students grow better.

Different management scope: counselors generally aim at multiple classes; Class assistants often target only one class.

Responsibilities of counselors:

(a) to help college students establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life, values, and establish the * * * ideal and firm belief of taking the road of Socialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under the leadership of China * * *. Actively guide students to pursue higher goals, so that the advanced elements among them can establish the lofty ideal of productism and firm belief in Marxism;

(2) Help college students develop good moral quality, conduct heart-to-heart talks regularly, guide students to develop good psychological quality and excellent character of self-esteem, self-love, self-discipline and self-improvement, enhance students' ability to overcome difficulties, stand the test and bear setbacks, and help students deal with specific problems in learning, choosing jobs and making friends, and living a healthy life in a targeted manner, so as to improve their ideological understanding and spiritual realm;

(3) Understand and master the ideological and political situation of college students, provide timely education and guidance for the hot and focal issues that students care about, resolve conflicts, participate in handling related emergencies, and maintain campus security and stability;

(four) the implementation of financial assistance for students from poor families, organize college students to work and study, and actively help students from poor families to complete their studies;

(five) actively carry out employment guidance and services, provide students with efficient and high-quality employment guidance and information services, and help students establish a correct concept of employment;

(6) Taking classes as the basis and students as the main body, giving full play to the organizational strength of student class collectives in the ideological and political education of college students;

(seven) to organize and coordinate the backbone class teachers, ideological and political theory teachers and organizers to do regular ideological and political work and carry out various forms of educational activities among students;

(eight) to guide the construction of student party branches and class committees, do a good job in cultivating the backbone of students, and stimulate students' enthusiasm and initiative.
