The school has a long history, which was founded by Wenhua University in 1903 (Wenhua University was renamed Huazhong University in 187 1, 1924) and Chinese University in19/kloc-0.
1952 was transformed into Huazhong normal university, 1953 was renamed Huazhong normal university, and 1985 was renamed Huazhong normal university, with the name inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, one of the founders of Zhongyuan University. 1993 Comrade Jiang Zemin wrote an inscription for the 90th anniversary of the founding of the school: "Develop the cause of normal education and improve the quality of national culture".
In the development of more than a hundred years, the school has not only inherited the essence of China's traditional culture, but also absorbed nutrients from foreign cultures, and even carried forward the tradition of revolutionary cultural education, forming the spirit of "loyalty to liberal arts, simplicity and fortitude" and cultivating more than 300,000 outstanding talents for the country.
