Chengdu Institute of Physical Education has not been changed into a university. Chengdu Institute of Physical Education, referred to as Adult, is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning established by the State Sports General Administration and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and mainly managed by Sichuan Province. Chengdu Institute of Physical Education is a pilot university for the reform of excellent doctor (Chinese medicine) education and training plan of the Ministry of Education, as well as a national social sports instructor training base, a national sports general administration foreign aid coach training base, a national high-level sports reserve talent training base, a national weightlifting reserve talent training base, a national martial arts routine youth training base and a national track and field sprint and hurdle reserve talent training base.
