Comparative component

Comparison grades can be divided into single form and compound form.

Comparison of (1) single forms.

I adjectives whose stems end in consonants are suffixed with-ее (-ей). When adjectives with monosyllabic stems form comparative degrees, the stress is generally between-е and е. When adjectives with polysyllabic stems form comparative degrees, the stress is generally unchanged. For example:

светлый-светле~е

Two. When adjectives whose stems end in-г,-к,-х,-д,-т,-ст form a comparative degree, the consonants at the end of the stems alternate first (г, дт, т) For example:

молодой-моложе

крепкий-крепче

громкий-громче

тихий-тише

сухой-суше

чистый-чище

простой-проще

The usage of (1) simple comparative degree

1. Simple comparative degrees have no changes in sex, number and case, and are usually used as predicates in sentences, and the things being compared are expressed in the second case of nouns.

For example:

① Жена моложе мужа

② Второй урок труднее первого

II simple comparative phrases can be connected with conjunctions, and the things to be compared are expressed in the first case.

For example:

① Сестра выше, чем брат

② Груши слаще, чем яблоки

Three. When the comparison grades больше (greater than) and меньше (less than) indicate quantities, чем is clean and can be compared.

For example:

① В первой группе мальчиков меньше, чем девочек

② У меня книг на русском языке больше, чем кник на китайском языке

The difference between IV comparisons is usually indicated by the prefix на plus the fourth grid.

The single comparative degree of V with the prefix по-is usually located after the explained noun and used as an inconsistent attribute. For example:

I compound comparative degree is usually used in written style and can be used as an attribute or predicate in a sentence.

For example:

① Это более современный город.

② Эта комната более светлая.

③ Мальчик менее умный.

Two. When the compound comparative degree is used as the predicate, the short-tailed form can be used.

For example:

① сегодняшняя лекция более интересна.

② Третье упражнение менее трудно.

Three. When the compound degree of comparison is used as an attribute or predicate, it can take a comparative object, but it must be connected by a comparative conjunction чем, and the comparative object is expressed in the first case.

For example:

① Эта комната более тихая, чем та.

② Это задача более лёгкая, чем та.Дайте нам, пожалуйста, более интересную книгу, чем та.
