China Pharmaceutical University, formerly known as National Pharmaceutical College (four-year program), was founded in 1936. At the beginning of the school, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out, and the school moved to Hankou for the first time, and then moved to Chongqing to study hard and raise Huaying. After the founding of New China, higher pharmaceutical education has been paid attention to and cared by the Party and the government. 1952 cheeloo university pharmacy department and Soochow university pharmacy department were merged into our school, and East China Pharmacy College was established.
Postgraduates begin to enroll students 1955. 1956 was renamed Nanjing Pharmaceutical College. 1986 merged with Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to form China Pharmaceutical University. 1996 entered the national "2 1 1 project" 100 key universities. In February 2000, the whole system was handed over to the Ministry of Education for direct management.
