Jishou University has 14 correspondence station, among which there is no Hunan Tiancheng Vocational Training School.

Jishou University, referred to as Jida for short, was founded in 1958. Its campus spans Jishou City in western Hunan and Yongding County in Zhangjiajie. At present, it is the only university in Hunan whose campus spans two cities, and it is also the only university in the border area of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou that has the right to award third-class degrees and post-doctoral research stations.
