Zhongyuan Institute of Technology will be renamed Zhongyuan Institute of Technology. Zhongyuan Institute of Technology, formerly known as Zhengzhou Textile Vocational and Technical College, is an ordinary undergraduate college that enrolls students nationwide, the second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a member of the Sino-Russian Jiaotong University Alliance, and the chairman of the Henan Provincial University Transportation Education Alliance.

1958, the school was placed under the management of Henan province. According to the needs of the development of textile industry in Henan province, the provincial government changed the school into "Henan Textile Machinery Institute", with undergraduate and technical secondary schools coexisting.
