Academic reputation is quite good. Outstanding sports (such as football and women's volleyball). It's the kind between freshmen and sophomores in public universities. Berkeley, UCLA is the first class in public universities. PSU is a little worse than them. But there are still many highly competitive disciplines. PSU has sufficient scientific research funds, abundant teachers and excellent equipment. Nationally, there may be a certain distance between Harvard, MIT, Caltech and Berkeley in many aspects, but basically they are us.

State College is a small city with a total population of about 70,000 to 80,000. I have to mention that it is quiet and very safe, and it ranks among the best in the United States. Our school is one of the largest public schools, which covers a large area.
