Nanjing Art College is the first of the six art colleges, because the school provides a very good space for students in terms of campus environment, artistic atmosphere, geographical location and development opportunities.

The six major art colleges in China include Nanjing Art College (Nanjing), Guangxi Art College (Nanning), Shandong Art College (Jinan), Yunnan Art College (Kunming), Jilin Art College (Changchun) and Xinjiang Art College (Urumqi).

There are three art colleges (universities established by the Ministry of Culture and the provincial government), namely Nanjing Art College, Guangxi Art College and Shandong Art College. It's relatively easy and remote to get into Xinjiang Art College and Yunnan Art College. The best art school is Nanjing Art Institute.
