The college consists of agricultural water conservancy engineering department, civil engineering department, engineering management department, hydrology and water resources engineering department, water conservancy and construction engineering experiment center, water science research center, agricultural engineering design room and Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Water Conservancy Training Center. The experimental center includes 8 professional laboratories, and the research center includes 4 research rooms.

Professional settings
At present, the college has five undergraduate majors, namely, agricultural water conservancy engineering, water conservancy and hydropower engineering, civil engineering, engineering management and hydrology and water resources engineering, among which agricultural water conservancy engineering is a key major in Heilongjiang Province and a national specialty, with three school-level excellent courses and 1 school-level bilingual teaching courses. The college has three master's degree authorization points: agricultural water and soil engineering, environmental water conservancy and hydrology and water resources. In 2000, he was awarded a doctor's degree as a first-class discipline of agricultural engineering. The authorized point of doctoral degree in agricultural water and soil engineering and environmental water conservancy can recruit postdoctoral researchers in agricultural water and soil engineering. Agricultural water and soil engineering is a provincial key discipline, and hydrology and water resources, environmental water conservancy, structural engineering, water conservancy and hydropower engineering are school-level key disciplines; Water-saving agricultural laboratory is a key laboratory of provincial universities.
Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering 1988 of the Institute of Water Conservancy and Architecture was approved as a master's degree by the State Education Commission. 1999 was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and in 20001year, doctoral and master students majoring in agricultural bio-environment and energy engineering began to be enrolled. In the same year, the master of agricultural soil and water engineering began to enroll students.
In June 2000, the Institute of Water Conservancy and Architecture was formally established. Since its establishment, the institute has achieved fruitful scientific research results, including six national "863" water-saving agricultural projects/topics, nine national "Eleventh Five-Year" science and technology support projects/topics, two national natural science funds, and one national spark plan project 1 item. He won 3 second prizes for scientific and technological progress in Heilongjiang Province and more than 20 other scientific research awards. He has published more than 500 scientific papers and nearly 30 monographs and teaching materials in academic journals at home and abroad.
Since its establishment, the College has been committed to serving the agricultural production practice in the cold areas of Heilongjiang Province and even northern China. Based on Longjiang, relying on the strong agricultural advantages of the school and giving full play to the regional characteristics, the college has carried out research on water-saving irrigation, optimal allocation of water and soil resources, hydrological uncertainty analysis, watershed hydrological model, soil and water conservation, eco-hydrology and environmental economy, and watershed health status evaluation, which has contributed to the smooth implementation of the 100 billion Jin grain productivity project in Heilongjiang Province, the improvement of farmers' living standards in Longjiang, the rural economic and social development in Longjiang, the improvement of regional social environment and the sustainable development of water and soil resources, and the healthy ecological environment.
The Institute of Water Conservancy and Architecture has always attached importance to the teaching of basic theory and the cultivation of engineering practice ability. Graduates have a solid theoretical foundation, strong practical ability and excellent work style, which are well received by employers. The employment rate of undergraduate graduates has been in the forefront of the school for many years, with 96.2%, 97.8% and 98.8% in 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively.
