Kangda was first established in February 1936. Its predecessor was the Central Red Army School established in Ruijin, Jiangxi in 193 1. 1933 was expanded into the University of Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army, and 1934 was renamed as "Cadre Corps" with the Long March of the Central Red Army.

1935 10 After the Long March of the Central Red Army arrived in northern Shaanxi, great changes have taken place in the domestic political situation. According to the urgent situation and the new task of the Anti-Japanese National Revolutionary War,1In February, 936, the Central Red Army Cadre Regiment merged with the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Red Army Military and Political School and established the Red Army Cadre School in Wayaobao, Anding County (now Zichang County) in northern Shaanxi. Soon, China People's Anti-Japanese Red Army University was founded on the basis of the Red Army Cadre School, and was renamed China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in the spring of 1937.

Since its establishment nine years ago, Kangda General School has successively established schools in Wayaobao, Baoan (now Zhidan), Yan 'an, Wuxiang (panlong town), Licheng (Xijing Town) in Shanxi, Xingtai (Jiang Shui Town) in Hebei and Suide in northern Shaanxi.
