Let's talk about it from two aspects. The first is transportation, and the second is colleges and universities.
Don't talk about the main purpose of establishing xiong'an new area, that is, to relieve the function of non-capital, just talk about the relationship between xiong'an new area and Hebei Province, and whether Hebei Province will give xiong'an new area a certain position.
From the traffic point of view, the recent news from Xiong 'an Station said that Xiong 'an Station is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2020.
It can be said that Xiong 'an Station not only shoulders the task of the national hub, but also undertakes a large number of tasks of Hebei Transportation Center.
Hebei province is actually divided, to some extent because of the barrier between Beijing and Tianjin.
Another reason is that Hebei Province has not established a transportation center in this province for a long time.
The transportation center in Hebei has not been established, which has a lot to do with the location of Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province.
Shijiazhuang city is located in the southwest of Hebei province from the map of the whole province.
The nearest city to Shijiazhuang is not a city in Hebei Province, but Yangquan City in Shanxi Province.
This is similar to Jiangsu Province.
It can be said that Shijiazhuang is a railway hub in North China, but it is not a transportation hub in Hebei Province.
Even at present, Shijiazhuang is still connected with many cities in Hebei Province, and it is difficult to form a railway connection.
For example, Zhangjiakou, Chengde, Langfang, Cangzhou and even Tangshan and Qinhuangdao in Hebei Province, only after the completion of the Jinbao Railway did a large number of trains go south to Jizhong and southern Hebei.
The difficulty here is not that there are no trains to these cities in Hebei Province in Shijiazhuang, but that there are only one or two trains, and there is still a long time.
Therefore, Hebei Province urgently needs a railway hub that can communicate with the province.
In this sense, the design of Xiong 'an Station can be said to reflect the emergence of a new railway center in Hebei.
There is a widely circulated version of the planned railway map of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on the Internet.
Xiong 'an Station is currently building the Xiong Jing Intercity Railway. It is predicted that the inter-city railways of Xiong Jing, Xiong Xin, Fengxiangshang, Jinxiong and Xiongshideng passing through Xiong 'an Station will be repaired in about five years.
After the formation of these railways, basically Xiong 'an Station can reach the central counties and cities of Langfang and most counties and cities of Baoding, and it can also connect Tangshan, Qinhuangdao and Hengshui.
If the Huaizhuo Intercity Railway around Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is completed, Xiong 'an Station can also dock with Zhangjiakou.
Of course, under the planning of a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei railway, Xiong 'an Station has achieved connectivity with most cities in Hebei Province.
This also involves a problem, that is, the capital of Hebei Province will not pay more attention to Xiong 'an.
Because Xiong 'an is a relief place for Beijing's non-capital function, not every place has to undertake Beijing's non-capital function.
A core area should be the initial area in xiong'an new area, which is my personal guess.
Therefore, the capital of Hebei Province will not turn Daxiong 'an Station into the transportation center of Hebei through the planning of this province.
For example, Xiong 'an currently plans an intercity to Shijiazhuang. So will this intercity extend to Xingtai and Handan in the future?
If planned in this way, there is no doubt that Xiong 'an Station will become a very prominent transportation center site in Hebei Province.
Through this site, the only difficulties and connections are probably Chengde and Cangzhou.
Because these two cities have no railway planning related to Xiong' an, so far.
But this may be the best that Hebei Province can do, because it is very difficult for Hebei Province to realize the interconnection between cities.
It is basically difficult for a Chengde or Zhangjiakou person to go to Hengshui or Cangzhou by train.
However, as I said, the positioning of xiong'an new area depends on the efforts of Hebei Province.
Because, if the Xiongshi intercity arrives in Shijiazhuang, it will be over?
Then it is obvious that Xingtai and Handan will find it difficult to reach Xiong 'an.
In other words, what if the intercity railway from Xiong 'an to Cangzhou is basically impossible to be approved? Or is Hebei Province not interested in this?
So now the railway in Xiong 'an is planned by the General Administration of Railways and Beijing Bureau, and the railway from Xiong 'an to more cities in Hebei is actually whether Hebei Province is willing to promote it.
Needless to say, the dispute between them is not a technical issue, but a zz issue.
Second, will the capital of Hebei Province use the large-scale construction of xiong'an new area to form a science and education park in this province?
For example, several provinces around Hebei Province, such as Shanxi, Henan and Shandong, are actually far ahead of Hebei Province.
Although they are all northern provinces, the conservatism of Hebei Province is the most obvious and fatal.
For example, both Shanxi and Henan have their own university towns, Yuci University Town in Shanxi and Longzihu University Town in Henan.
In the north of Zhengzhou, a university town, there is also a large-scale new campus of Henan University. It can be said that for the coveted Henan University, Zhengzhou has finally laid hands on it after years of construction in this university city.
Qingdao, Shandong Province has relocated a large number of universities from all over Shandong Province, including China Youshi University in Dongying, Shandong Province, Laiyang Agricultural College in Laiyang, Shandong Province, and Shandong University of Science and Technology in Tai 'an, Shandong Province.
Whether it is the relocation of foreign universities or the construction of university towns, these things have never happened in Hebei Province.
What is even more fatal in Hebei Province is that not only these things are absent, but even in the wave of university merger, Hebei Province has been bound by conservatism.
Zhihu once mentioned in an answer that many provinces have merged a large number of highly educated universities in this province.
For example, Jilin University, Shandong University, Zhejiang University and Southwest University were all formed after a large number of mergers.
Unfortunately, Hebei University, Hebei Agricultural University and Baoding's North China Electric Power were the only universities in Hebei at that time, but they missed the opportunity of this merger, which made the situation of the three universities regrettable.
What's more, Hebei University of Technology in Hebei Province is still in Tianjin.
It should be said, does Hebei Province have the courage to use xiong'an new area to build a large-scale university town in Hebei Province?
In addition, does Hebei Province have the courage to relocate universities?
Perhaps, many candidates in Hebei Province are most concerned about this issue.
Whether Hebei University of Technology can move to Hebei Province in the tide of Xiong 'an construction.
Whether Hebei Province has the ability to build a new double-class university.
So, how to position xiong'an new area in the future? Personally, I think that the orientation of xiong'an new area's starting area is to focus on carrying Beijing's functions as a non-capital city.
Hebei Province should have a position for xiong'an new area. In addition to Xiong 'an starting area, there are five peripheral groups in xiong'an new area, which may be the place where Hebei Province can exert its strength.
Whether Xiong 'an high-speed railway station can be regarded as the transportation center of Hebei Province.
Is there any new land in xiong'an new area for planning the university town in Hebei Province? Can Hebei Province relocate Hebei University of Technology by establishing a new university town and promote the merger of other universities in Hebei Province?
In fact, these should be the most worthy questions for Hebei people to think about, because Hebei's high-speed rail interoperability is too poor and higher education is too weak. This is not only caused by blood sucking in Beijing and Tianjin, but also related to the conservatism of Hebei Province to a great extent. Actually, it's not too much. The neighboring Henan, Shandong and Shanxi are all examples that Hebei Province can learn from.
I sincerely hope that Hebei province can build a transportation center and a university city of the province with the help of the construction of Xiong 'an, and fulfill the expectations of most people in Hebei for many years.
