Yunnan Honghe University belongs to two universities.

Honghe University is located in mengzi city, the capital of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture. It is a provincial comprehensive undergraduate college in Yunnan Province. The school implements the management system of "building * * management by provinces and States, focusing on provinces".

The school, formerly known as Mengzi Teachers College, was founded in 1978. In April 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was formed by the merger of Mengzi Teachers College and Yunnan Radio and TV University Honghe Branch.
