The Historical Evolution of Peking University
Peking University's predecessor was "Shi Jing University Hall", and its original campus was located in Jingshan East Street (formerly Machi) in Beijing and Honglou (now No.29 May 4th Street in Beijing) in Shanghai Beach (northeast of the Forbidden City).
