Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology was founded in 1947, and its predecessor was the first mining institute founded by China * * * Production Party-Northeast Workers' School. After three times of demolition and reorganization, four times of relocation, six times of change of affiliation and eight times of change of school name, the school has now developed into a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, with mining as its discipline and professional characteristics, with the coordinated development of science, engineering, management, literature, economics and law, which has made outstanding contributions to the development of regional economy and society and China's coal industry, and is the "backbone of coal industry" and "cradle of mining engineers".

1954 merged with Hegang Coal Mine School to form Jixi Coal Mine School. On this basis, 1958 established Jixi Mining Institute. 1962 was changed to Jixi Coal Mine School due to the adjustment of colleges and universities. 1978 Jixi Mining Institute was transformed into undergraduate education. 198 1 changed its name to Heilongjiang Institute of Mining, which was subordinate to the former Ministry of Coal Industry. 1998 is placed under the jurisdiction of local governments, and the central and local * * * construction systems are implemented, with Heilongjiang Province as the main management.
