Changshu Institute of Technology is a provincial public full-time undergraduate college jointly established by provinces and cities. The predecessor of the school is Suzhou Normal University, which was founded in 1958. 1989 Suzhou Normal University and Changshu Vocational College merged to form Changshu College. 200 1 Jiangsu population school was merged.
