Xi Jiao Tong University School of Medicine is a national key research university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). Established by the Ministry of Education and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, it is listed as a world-class university construction university, a national key construction university in the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan, and the first batch of key construction universities in the 21Project and the 985 Project.
