Understanding of new media
These views are as follows:

The development of new media makes the information spread faster, and the information access channels are broadened, which is believed to have more positive effects. In the original information blocking environment, some social phenomena that die at the sight of light may be able to hide the sky, but in today's era of all pursuit of high speed, these phenomena will eventually be exposed to the public bit by bit.

We began to face up to, criticize and reflect, and we began to struggle to put an end to these phenomena. The channels of struggle have become wider and more transparent, and the struggle has bottomed out.

In fact, we must thank the development of new media for bringing this benign trend. But the speed and breadth of information dissemination have increased, so that we may have spread it before we can distinguish it. Therefore, we need our thinking ability and discriminating ability, and we are not credulous, reckless or silent. Finally, I hope that our society will follow the pace of the development of new media and become more beautiful and moving. I also hope that our society is a society in which all the people participate in the construction.

New media has the following characteristics:

(A) the media personalized prominent

Due to technical reasons, the media in the past were almost all popular, but the new media can be geared to more subdivided audiences and individuals, and individuals can customize their own news through the new media.

That is to say, the combination of information and content that each new media audience finally receives can be the same or completely different, which is very different from the traditional media audience who can only passively read or watch the same content.

(b) Increased audience selectivity

Technically speaking, in the new media, everyone can receive information, and everyone can also act as an information publisher. Users can watch TV programs, play music, vote programs and search information, which breaks the restriction that only news organizations can publish news and fully meets the segmentation needs of information consumers.

Different from the "dominant audience" of traditional media, new media is "audience-oriented". The audience has greater choices, can read freely, and can amplify information.

(c) Different forms of expression

There are various forms of new media, and the expression process of various forms is rich. It can integrate words, audio and pictures, and make the content expand infinitely in an instant, thus making the content a "living thing". Theoretically, as long as the computer conditions are met, a new media can meet the information storage needs of the whole world.

In addition to its large capacity, new media also has the characteristics of "easy retrieval", which can store content at any time, and it is very convenient to find previous content and related content.

(4) Real-time information release

Compared with radio and television, only new media can be processed and released at any time without time constraints. New media can easily be online 24 hours a day by presenting content through powerful software and web pages.

The new media is interactive, and the unique network media makes the relationship between information disseminators and recipients equal. The audience is no longer easily manipulated by the media, but can make more voices and influence information disseminators through the interaction of new media.
