School of Software, South China University of Technology is a national model school of software, a doctoral program in software engineering and a postdoctoral mobile station.

The history of South China University of Technology can be traced back to the 1930s, even to the late Qing Dynasty.

As the foundation of its establishment, Institute of Technology of Sun Yat-sen University originated from National Institute of Technology of Sun Yat-sen University and was established in 193 1.

Founded in August, 1934, moved to Guangzhou Shipai with Sun Yat-sen University in September, and now runs a school at the campus of South China University of Technology;

The School of Engineering of South China United University was formed by the merger of Guangdong University for Nationalities, established by 1930, and Guangzhou University, established by 1940.
