IMA Association requires CMA members to have relevant follow-up education (30 hours/credit per year), and clearly stipulates what kind of follow-up education methods can obtain follow-up education credits. The goal of continuing education is to maintain personal professional knowledge and improve personal ability to complete relevant work requirements.
2. So, when will CMA follow-up education begin?
After passing all the examination subjects of American certified management accountant, you need to complete 30 hours of continuing education every year, which must include 2 hours of professional ethics education.
Note: 1: The reporting period starts from 1+0 after two exams. The period from the successful completion of two exams to the second year 1 is a grace period. There is no requirement for continuing education during this period, but any continuing education hours obtained during this period can be included in the first reporting period.
Note 2: When a licensed member completes more than 30 hours of continuing education in one year, at most 10 hours can be carried forward to the next year. For example, if you complete 38 hours this year, you can carry it over to 8 hours next year; If 45 hours are completed this year, at most 10 hours can be carried forward to the next year. Simply put, only 10 hours can be carried over to the next year.
3. Where can I have CMA follow-up education?
IMA official website regularly holds online or offline activities, and CPE can be obtained by participating in the activities. Or attend online education courses of CMA official website or other recognized institutions, and you can also get CPE.
4. How to apply for CPE credits?
IMA members need to report their continuing education time to their personal accounts.
