The standard requires that colleges and universities should regularly provide students and faculty with health education on the knowledge and skills of infectious disease prevention and control. Health education and training shall be no less than 1 class hour within 1 month after freshmen enter school; Various forms of health education should be carried out during school, with no less than 1 class hour per academic year.

The standard requires colleges and universities to establish a physical examination system and health files for teachers and students, and do a good job in the management of students' vaccination. Institutions of higher learning shall report cases of infectious diseases or suspected infectious diseases to the disease prevention and control institutions designated by the local health administrative department, and do a good job in the prevention and control of infectious diseases under the guidance of the health administrative department.

The standard requires that colleges and universities should provide students with food and drinking water safety and environmental sanitation safety in accordance with the current relevant national standards. In the epidemic season of infectious diseases, we should strengthen the ventilation of classrooms, libraries and other crowded places, and strengthen the cleaning and disinfection of campus public facilities and public appliances.

This standard requires colleges and universities to be guaranteed in terms of system, personnel and technology. Colleges and universities should establish the work system and work system of infectious disease prevention and control in charge of school leaders; Emergency plans and related systems for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases should be formulated under the technical guidance of the health department. Institutions of higher learning should have medical and health institutions and health technicians who are specially responsible for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, and regularly participate in business training on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases organized by higher authorities and relevant business departments. Institutions of higher learning shall accept the supervision, inspection and professional and technical guidance on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools organized by higher authorities and relevant business departments.
