1. Suzhou City University (formerly Zheng College of Literature, Suzhou University) is an independent full-time public undergraduate college under the management of Suzhou Municipal People's Government. On February 2, 2002 1 February 21day, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province issued a notice on the transformation of Zheng College of Literature of Suzhou University into Suzhou City College.

The College is located in Suzhou International Education Park, with a campus area of 650 mu, bordering Wu Shan in the west and stone lake, a national scenic spot with beautiful scenery, pleasant environment and strong learning atmosphere, and Shangfangshan National Forest Park in the north. As of June, 20021year, the college has 44 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines, including arts, science, engineering, economics, management, law and art, with more than 2000 full-time undergraduates1year.
