Preface of sexual health education reader for college students
In 2009, UNESCO, UNAIDS, the United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations Children's Fund and the World Health Organization jointly issued the "Guide to International Educational Technology", aiming at helping the education, health and other relevant departments in various countries to develop and implement school-based sex education resources and activities. From 20 10 to 20 12, UNESCO launched the pilot project of "Integrating Comprehensive Education into Pre-service Teacher Education in China and Deepening AIDS Education in China" in China. By adapting and integrating the "International Educational Technology Guide" into Pre-service Teacher Education in China, the education department in China has deepened its response to AIDS. With the advice and support of the Department of Sports Health and Art Education of the Ministry of Education, the project selected three pilot normal universities, namely Beijing Normal University, Henan Normal University and Yunnan Normal University, among which Beijing Normal University played a central role in the adaptation of the International Educational Technology Outline and the development of curriculum and educational resources. With the full cooperation of teachers and students in three pilot normal universities, with the support of school leaders and under the guidance of the project expert group, the project team successfully completed the investigation of the current situation of sex education for college students in normal universities, the compilation of sex education textbooks, teacher training, classroom teaching and evaluation, and explored the feasibility and mode of integrating comprehensive education into pre-service teacher education. After teacher training and course experiments, all three pilot normal universities have established their own sex education teachers, which are composed of teachers from different disciplines such as life science, psychology, child development, education, sociology, law, public management and aesthetics. , and open public elective courses for school-level students. At the same time, the project team has developed a textbook for college students' sex education-a reading book for college students' sex health education, which will be used as a public elective course for college students' sex education after trial. In the process of project development and textbook compilation, the leaders and teachers of the following three pilot normal universities gave strong support. Here, thank you together. Beijing Normal University: Han Zhen, Liu Fuxing, Wei Wei, Tian Xiaogang, Zheng Xinrong, Rebecca, Fang Xiaoyi, Qi Jianguo. Henan Normal University: Hei Jianmin, Gao, Zhou Shegang, Ji, Zhao Xiaoge, Yunnan Normal University: Liu, Zhu Li, Shi, Li Shuqiong, He Ying, Du Minju, Cha Jianyou. Thanks to Professor Yu Xiaoming and Professor Ma Yinghua from Peking University, Professor Pan Suiming from Renmin University of China, Professor Bu Wei from China Academy of Social Sciences, and Teacher Yu Huili from Beijing 10 1 Middle School for their important contributions to teacher training and textbook compilation. Thanks to Aibai Cultural Education Center and two non-governmental organizations with the same language for their professional support in the revision of teaching materials. I would like to thank Mr. Bista and Ms. Li Hongyan, the education project officials of the UNESCO representative office in China, for their guidance on the project. Thanks to the students of three pilot normal universities for their support of experimental teaching and valuable opinions on textbook revision.

Mr. Singh, representative of UNESCO representative office in China, and Mr. Gu Mingyuan, senior professor of Beijing Normal University, personally wrote the preface to this book. We are deeply honored and take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude. On the basis of practice, the project teams of three pilot normal universities have gained some experiences and opinions on how to promote sex education in normal universities. The project team generally believes that in order to promote the popularization of sex education in universities, the state must clarify the status of sex education curriculum, build a comprehensive sex education curriculum system, establish an inter-departmental cooperation mechanism, improve teachers' ability to develop, implement and study sex education curriculum, and promote evidence-based sex education practice. UNESCO expressed its willingness to provide corresponding technical support to China in these fields.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights stipulates that everyone has the right to education. Sex education is a part of education, so everyone has the right to receive sex education. 20 10 At the 65th meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, the special report on the right to education was considered, and the right to sex education within the framework of international human rights law was put forward. It was considered that this right was inseparable from the right to education and was the key to the effective enjoyment of the rights to life, health, information and non-discrimination. Therefore, States must do their duty and take all necessary measures to ensure that individuals enjoy this right from the earliest stage of their lives without discrimination. Sex education is of great significance to ensure the healthy growth of teenagers. The pilot project carried out by UNESCO preliminarily explored how to integrate comprehensive education into pre-service teacher education in China. However, to really deepen and popularize sex education in teacher education and provide high-quality sex education teachers for more than 200 million primary and secondary school students in China, it still needs the continuous efforts of government departments, non-governmental organizations, academic groups and other relevant institutions.

Let's work together to realize the sexual education rights of hundreds of millions of teenagers in China! Due to the limited level, mistakes and shortcomings in this textbook are inevitable. Readers and friends are welcome to give us comments.
