Zhejiang International Studies University, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is the only full-time public foreign language college in Zhejiang Province, which is organized by the people's government of Zhejiang Province and is based on foreign languages and literature.

Zhejiang international studies university, formerly known as Zhejiang (Middle School) Teacher Training School, was established in 1955. In July, 1956, it was transformed into Zhejiang Normal University; 1958, renamed Zhejiang Institute of Culture and Education; 1960 changed its name to Zhejiang Institute of Education in March; On April 20 10, it was upgraded and renamed as Zhejiang International Studies University.
