Huoshan is the hometown of the Red Army, the cradle of generals, the old revolutionary base area in western Anhui, an important part of the revolutionary base area in Hubei, Henan and Anhui, and the red regional center in Anhui Province.
During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Huoshan created four "Anhui firsts":1In May of 929, the militia mutiny of Zhufo 'an in Anhui Province was launched for the first time, which started the "Liuhuo Uprising"; 1In June, 930, the first regular Red Army in Anhui Province, the 33rd Division of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army 1 1 Army, was established in Huoshan County. On April 1930, the first county-level Soviet government in Anhui Province was established in Huoshan. At the end of April, 1930 became the only Chihua county in the province. During the revolutionary war years, Huoshan gave birth to many epics and left many revolutionary struggle sites.
From May 20 10, Huoshan county organized special personnel to investigate the revolutionary sites in 6 towns and villages in the county/kloc-0. After more than half a year's visit and shooting, the 1 16 revolutionary site and four other sites were confirmed, among which the 5th Division (Li Xiannian Division) of the New Fourth Army has 30 revolutionary sites, including the former site of Determined Temple in Shangtu Town.
