How to teach students to be human beings
In the process of deepening quality education, I have always regarded educating people as the top priority of education, and the concept of doing a good job first and then becoming a talent is firmly rooted in my educational and teaching thought and practice. Around it, I focused on the following aspects.

First, guide students to learn to care.

Life is beautiful because of love, and education is enriched because of love. Love is the most beautiful language of human beings, and love is selfless dedication. A loveless person is a person who has abandoned society and will eventually be abandoned by society. A student who is about to graduate from a famous university threw sulfuric acid at five black bears kept in the zoo, causing serious injuries to these animals, and the student himself was punished by law. To his surprise, people who are familiar with this student say that this student is not a "poor student" at ordinary times, and his grades and conduct are "good". The "good" students made a big mistake, which made people worry. Although it is inaccurate to explain this event by "accident". The student threw sulfuric acid at the black bear twice, and his "preparation work" was not "meticulous"; According to the zoo staff, cigarette butts, coins, pins and thumbtacks appear in the food that many other tourists feed animals, and the feeders are mostly young students. Waterbirds in the lake in the park were also stoned to death by primary school students. Paying attention to students' psychological education is no longer a new topic, but it has not come to an end so far.

In the formal structure of moral quality, there must be two subsystems: moral knowledge and moral attitude, which are interrelated, independent and irreplaceable. Moral knowledge cannot be directly transformed into attitude, which is mainly composed of the subject's own needs. As Lenin said, "If you are not good at combining your ideals with the interests of participants in the economic struggle … then the noblest ideals are worthless". Therefore, it is the duty of every educator to educate students with love, start from their needs, guide them to learn to care, help some students get rid of setbacks and rebuild their confidence. I have always felt that students are like uncut jewels, they are pursuing their innate nature. The task of education is to awaken their deep-seated potential needs for love, beauty and goodness, and let them re-understand the true meaning of life. To this end, in education and teaching, I try to provide students with opportunities to participate in love education activities extensively, so that they can experience setbacks and experience the happiness of cooperation and success. So as to cultivate their thoughts of loving flowers and trees, frost, snow and rain, teachers and classmates, parents and elders, study and life, and the people of the motherland; So as to build a bridge of spiritual communication between teachers and students and let students grow up healthily and happily. It also laid the foundation for shaping their sound personality.

Second, guide students to learn to understand

Mr. Lu Xun said that in the education of children, "the first thing is to understand." Understanding is the process of eliminating misunderstanding, making the relationship harmonious and happy, and thus uniting and advancing. To make students learn to understand, the key lies in cultivating students' empathy ability and educating them on empathy. The so-called empathy education is how to treat the pain or misfortune of others as your own. Compassion, understanding and help are the main contents of empathy education. Hoffman revealed the important position and function of emotion in moral education through "Empathy Theory". Peter Macphail, a British moral educator, founded an "understanding model" of moral education, trying to cultivate the moral ability of "putting yourself in others' shoes" through moral education.

In the thirty years of Chinese teaching, the author has always consciously infiltrated ideological and moral education into classroom teaching according to the teaching characteristics of the subject itself while imparting knowledge. Often create a certain life situation to guide students to discuss, take students into it, feel the inner heart of each role, let students put themselves in the shoes, deeply understand the reasons for external behavior, and express their inner understanding through sincere dialogue and communication with students, such as joy and pain, sadness and sadness. Let students learn to think what others think, worry about others' urgency, understand classmates, study, life and society ... then care about and love others, and then love life and society.

Third, guide students to pay attention to small things.

The so-called "trivial matter" refers to the change of quantity that is not enough to cause qualitative change. Dialectical materialism holds that quantitative change is the premise and necessary preparation for qualitative change, and qualitative change is the inevitable result of quantitative change. Xunzi said: "You can't make a thousand miles without accumulating steps, and you can't make rivers and seas without accumulating trickle." British philosopher Bacon also said: "Only by combining the appearance of beauty with the virtue of beauty can we say that beauty radiates real brilliance." In the process of education, some small things often become "blind spots" for educators, such as students swearing, rude attitude, weird hair style, fancy dress, love to eat snacks, don't know how to save, don't talk about hygiene, don't love labor, don't respect people and so on. Can these "little things" really be ignored? The ancients said, "To accumulate good is not enough to become famous, and to accumulate evil is not enough to destroy the body." Countless painful precedents tell us that small things see the spirit, small things can not be underestimated, and many students go bad, often starting with small problems and small things.

Moral education has never been a vigorous movement. We should integrate the requirements of moral education into our daily study and life. There is no small matter in school, and education is everywhere. Things at school are basically trivial, that is, we should think big from a small point, and educational opportunities are everywhere. Especially in the education of students' behavior norms and study habits, we should start from little by little and from small things. Therefore, in the process of education, I attach great importance to trivial matters, insist on grasping the source of bad habits, quantify the specific requirements for students into the daily behavior norms of students, insist on weekly, monthly and semester inspections, score and evaluate, reward advanced and criticize backward, and insist on asking students to do it. "Don't do it with small goodness, and don't do it with small evil."
