Shandong, called Qilu for short, is the provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the capital of Jinan. It is an eastern coastal province of China, located at 34 22.9 ′-38 24.01′ north latitude and 0/4 47.5 ′-65438 east longitude.

Shandong is 72 1.03 km long from east to west and 437.28 km long from north to south, with a land area of155800km2. Shandong Province has jurisdiction over 16 prefecture-level cities, including 58 municipal districts, 26 county-level cities and 52 counties, making a total of 136 county-level administrative regions. 664 streets, 1092 towns, 68 townships, a total of 1824 township-level administrative regions.

Shandong, at first, mainly refers to Xiaoshan, Huashan or the vast area of the Yellow River basin east of Taihang Mountain. In the eighth year of Jin Dading (1 168), Shandong East Road and Shandong West Road were established, and Shandong East Road was set as the military department. "Shandong" is the name of the administrative region. "Shandong" became the proper name of this province in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The representative culture of Shandong history is Qilu culture.
