Yan Song (A.D. 1480 ~ 1567), a native of Jiangxi, was a scholar in the eighteenth year of Hongzhi (A.D. 1505), changed to Jishi Shu in imperial academy, was awarded editing, recovered and returned to his hometown, and studied for 8 years. He was famous for his poems. Zheng De was reinstated in the 11th year of Ming Wuzong (15 16). In the seventh year of Jiajing (1528), Ming Shizong was ordered to offer sacrifices to immortals and returned with auspicious words. Ming Shizong was overjoyed. A few years later, he was transferred to the right assistant minister of the official department, entered the history of the Nanjing Ministry of Rites, and was appointed as the history of the official department two years later. In the fifteenth year of Jiajing (1536), the Wanshou Festival was celebrated to the capital. It was time for the imperial court to rebuild the history of the Song Dynasty, so he stayed in Beijing and presided over it with the title of Shangshu of the Ministry of Rites and a bachelor's degree from the Imperial Academy. In the twenty-first year of Jiajing (A.D. 1542), he served as a university student in Wuying Hall and entered Wenyuan Pavilion, still in charge of the affairs of the Ministry of Rites. After the solution, he specialized in Xiyuan; Gradual official department history, I am a university student in the temple. When I was young, I followed a prince named Fu and a university student in the temple. Yan Song was good at writing some "green words" to burn sacrifices to heaven, which was favored by the emperor. In September of the 23rd year of Jiajing (A.D. 1544), Yan Song was promoted to the position of records and monopolized state affairs, and was called "Prime Minister of Qing Dynasty". He is over 60 years old and stays in Xiyuan all day. He never went home to take a bath, and was moved by his diligence and trusted him more. After the change of maids, a fire broke out in the Yongshou Palace in Xiyuan where Sejong lived, and Sejong wanted to rebuild the palace. Yan Song didn't agree to rebuild the palace, considering that it would cost a lot of money to build it. Another cabinet minister, Jeff, urged reconstruction. In this respect, people at that time were "quite good at listening to the correct songs, but they were a little ignorant of the order" (Lu Zheng in Xi 'an 16). So sejong also praised Yan Song.

Yan Song is also measured. "Crime Records" said: "When Lin first came, he patrolled according to his sin; Song servant, punished for his crimes. As soon as he entered the capital, Song was very respectful and could respect the virtuous doctor. " Being able to restrain family members and take care of the sense of honor is a far cry from Jeff bullying the children across the village.

Yan Song attaches great importance to rewarding and selecting talents to serve the country. Yin Gengchuan's Poems in Past Dynasties: "It is appropriate to use Angel and Hu Zanzong respectively, but their knowledge is beyond reach."

Yan Song has a reputation for greed, while Xu Jie has a reputation for meanness. As an honest official, Xu Jie owns more than 400,000 mu of land. Yan Song's father is just a small official, and Xu Jie's family is "cultivated by generations, not an official". When they started, their property was the same. Yan Song worked as a record for fifteen years, and Xu Jie only worked as a record for six years, but his fortune was 15 times that of the Yan family!

Yan Song in the Ming Dynasty contains some family matters in Yan Song, such as "Ouyang, the wife of the Song Dynasty, is very virtuous, well-managed and especially strict in managing the world. Song also respects guests and does not need maids." Shen Defu's "Wan Li Ye De, Cabinet, Different Officials Living in Hometown": "Strict and appropriate, greatly polluted by the world, but treated my hometown very well. His wife Ouyang is good at giving, and Yuan people still recite it. " Yan Song's reputation in his hometown is also described in Zhu Guozhen's "Architectural Essays": "Tan thinks that what is suitable is evil, which is rare in ancient and modern times. He is from Jiangyou, and he is thoughtful, especially Yuan, who was also kissed. It can be seen that public opinion has its own differences. "

Due to the long-standing feud between Yan Song and Wang Shizhen, Wang Shizhen slandered Yan Song in historical books such as A Record of Yan Song since Jiajing, and Yan Song's reputation plummeted.
