Why is Hubei's college entrance examination score higher than other places?
The reason why the score of college entrance examination in Hubei is higher than that in other places is because the level of college entrance examination in Hubei Province is relatively high.

Because the quality of education in Hubei province is driven by high schools in Huanggang and Wuhan, it creates the illusion that the level of college entrance examination in Hubei province is high. As a result, the college entrance examination scores in Hubei Province are often higher than those in other provinces.

The scores of college entrance examination in each province are different, because the population and educational resources are unevenly distributed, the total score and difficulty are different, the nature of candidates and other factors are different, and the admission scores of candidates are also different.

Extended data:

Current college entrance examination pass scheme:

“3+X”

Applicable areas: most provinces and cities

"3" means "Chinese, Mathematics and Foreign Languages", and "X" means that students can choose an examination subject independently from the two comprehensive subjects of liberal arts (politics, history and geography) and science (physics, chemistry and biology) according to their own wishes. This scheme is the most widely used and mature college entrance examination scheme in China. The total score is 750 (language 150, mathematics 150, foreign language 150, liberal arts/science 300).

Specific examination time:

June 7th (morning) 09: 00-1:30 Chinese (afternoon) 15: 00- 17: 00 Mathematics (liberal arts mathematics or science mathematics).

June 8th (morning) 09: 00-1:30 (afternoon) 15: 00- 17: 00 foreign languages.

"3+ academic level test+comprehensive quality evaluation"

Application area: Jiangsu Province has been approved by the Ministry of Education. Since 2008, Jiangsu Province has implemented "3+ Academic Level Examination+Comprehensive Quality Evaluation".

"3" refers to "Chinese, mathematics and foreign languages", with Chinese 160 (40 points for liberal arts plus questions), mathematics 160 (40 points for science plus questions) and foreign languages 120, out of 480 points.

The required subjects for the academic proficiency test include physics, chemistry, biology, politics, history, geography and information technology. The original full score of each subject is 100. Candidates are required to take five compulsory subjects that are not optional subjects for academic proficiency testing, among which information technology can only be used as a compulsory subject for academic proficiency testing.

The required subjects of the academic level examination are graded according to the original scores, which are divided into four parts: A(90 points and above), B (75-89 points), C (60-74 points) and D(59 points and below). All the compulsory subjects of the general candidates' academic level examination have reached Grade C, and the information technology subjects have reached "qualified" before they can take the college entrance examination and elective subjects examination.

Elective subjects of academic level examination include physics, chemistry, biology, politics, history and geography, with the original full score of 120. Liberal arts candidates must take history, science candidates must take physics, and then choose one from chemistry, biology, politics and geography. Elective subjects in the academic proficiency test are scored according to the original scores, which are divided into 6: A+[0%-5%.

Because the total score of this scheme is low, the score is flat and dense and the operation is complicated. In addition, physics, chemistry and other subjects are not included in the total score, which makes it difficult to select science talents. Therefore, the implementation of this plan is still controversial.
