New policy to reduce the burden of education
Legal analysis: ensure that primary and junior high school students sleep 10 hour and 9 hours every day; Generally, primary schools should arrive at school no earlier than 750 or 830 in the morning, junior high schools no earlier than 720 or 800, and the lunch break should be no less than 30 minutes. All the primary school students' written homework from Monday to Thursday is completed in school, and there is no written homework at home. It is strictly forbidden to assign homework electronically or ask students to complete homework with their mobile phones.

Legal basis: Article 1 of the "Implementation Opinions on Further Reducing Students' Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden in Compulsory Education Stage" comprehensively reduces the total amount and duration of homework. Efforts should be made to improve the homework management system, improve the quality of homework design, control the total amount of homework by classification, strengthen the guidance of homework completion, establish a homework supervision mechanism, and make scientific use of spare time. The key point is to promote the consistency of teaching, practice and examination, and ensure that there is no homework in the first and second grades of primary school. The average completion time of written homework in the third to fifth grades of primary school is no more than 60 minutes, and the average completion time of written homework in junior high school is no more than 90 minutes.
