Guizhou Normal University:
The predecessor of Guizhou Normal University-"National Guiyang Normal College" was founded in 194 1, which was one of the only eight national normal colleges in China at that time. At the beginning of the school, a group of well-known scholars, represented by Yin, Wang Keren, Wang Peifen, Zhu, Qi, Li, Li Ruifu, Yang, Yao Dianzhong, Xia Yuanli, Xiao Wencan, Ceng Jing, Xie and Tan, came to teach at the school. They worked hard to run the school, and passed it on from generation to generation, laying a solid foundation for the further development of the school. After the founding of New China, the school was renamed "Guiyang Teachers College"; 1956 was officially handed over by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) to the Guizhou Provincial People's Government for management; 1985 was renamed as "Guizhou Normal University", and 1996 was identified as a provincial key university by Guizhou Provincial People's Government. In 2004, the former Guizhou Vocational and Technical College merged; In 2006, it was included in the "Counterpart Support Program for Western Universities" of the Ministry of Education, and formed a counterpart support relationship with Xiamen University; On July 20 13, it was officially approved as an authorized unit for doctoral degree; In 20 15, the Ministry of Education and Guizhou Province signed an agreement to jointly build Guizhou Normal University, and Guizhou Normal University became a university jointly built by the provincial and ministerial departments.
The school is located in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, a forest city with the reputation of "China Summer Capital". It has three campuses, located in Yunyan District, Baiyun District and Huaxi District, covering an area of more than 3,000 mu. There are more than 36,000 full-time students, including 23,400 junior college students (excluding Qiushi College) and 2 100 graduate students. There are 2527 faculty members.
