Taizhou Academy of Science. &; Technology. ), referred to as South Institute of Technology, was established in 2004 and is located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province. Approved by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Taizhou Municipal People's Government jointly run a private full-time undergraduate college.

The school is a national CDIO engineering education reform pilot university, a pilot university of industry-education integration innovation project of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Executive Committee of China Education Think Tank Alliance, a "1+X" certificate pilot institution of the Ministry of Education, a "smart teaching pilot project" unit of the Ministry of Education, and an excellent innovation alliance school of the Ministry of Education.
