Guangxi Normal University of Science and Technology is located in Laibin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Liuzhou Campus (sub-campus),No. Wu Jun Road 170, Shatang Town, Liubei District, Liuzhou City. It is a public undergraduate college in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the first batch of national "Hundred Schools Project" pilot colleges by the Ministry of Education, and a pilot school for the overall transformation and development of newly-built undergraduate schools in Guangxi, which is jointly built by Guangxi Science and Technology Department and Laibin Municipal People's Government.

The college can be traced back to Yishan Teachers College as early as 1958. 1970 Liuzhou Normal School was established on the basis of Liuzhou National Agricultural Technical School. 20 15, upgraded to Guangxi Normal University of Science and Technology. In 20 16, it was selected as the first batch of pilot institutions of the National "Hundred Schools Project" of the Ministry of Education.

In June, 2023, the school official website showed that the school campus covers an area of1014,300 square meters, including Laibin main campus 6110,000 square meters and Liuzhou campus 404,200 square meters, with a total construction area of 503,300 square meters. There are 13 teaching units and 34 undergraduate majors. At present, there are 1 196 staff, nearly 16000 full-time students and 68 international students.

From 2065438 to March 2006, the school was listed as a pilot school for the overall transformation and development of newly-built undergraduate schools in Guangxi by the Education Department of the Autonomous Region. In August, the school was selected as the first batch of national "Hundred Schools Project" pilot universities by the Ministry of Education. 12 On February 22nd, the Education Department of the Autonomous Region issued the Reply of Guangxi Education Department on the Articles of Association of Colleges and Universities No.34, and approved the Articles of Association of Guangxi Normal University of Science and Technology.

On July 20 17, the school was identified as "Guangxi Vocational Education Teacher Training Base" by the Education Department.

2065438+May 2009, the Academic Degrees Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region officially approved the addition of Guangxi Normal University of Science and Technology as an authorized unit for bachelor's degree. In June, East China Normal University and Guangxi Normal University of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation on counterpart assistance.

In September, 20021,it was selected into the list of selected units of the second batch of national language and writing promotion bases.

On September 2, 2022, Guangxi Science and Technology Teachers College and others jointly initiated the establishment of the "International Sugar Industry-Education Integration Alliance".
