Outdoor places: open-air hot springs, free of charge, men and women share a swimming pool.
Mengla Hot Spring is located in the valley near Pu 'er Shangzhai, Mengla County, Jinping, southern Yunnan. Hot spring water contains a variety of minerals, belonging to high-heat radon fluoride water. Hot springs are surrounded by terraced fields, towering ancient trees, graceful bamboos and wild flowers and moss. Spring water gushed from the edge of virgin forest and poured into a 60-square-meter pool. When the water temperature is 50 ~ 60℃, the hot spring fog rises, and the organic minerals in the water also have a natural cleaning effect. This completely relaxing environment, coupled with adequate nutrition supply in the water, gives people wonderful enjoyment.
This open-air hot spring is hidden among green trees, with no walls and no admission. Most people who come to take a bath in hot springs are Dai compatriots living nearby. After a hard day's work, they took off their clothes and took a comfortable hot spring bath on their way home, and their physical and mental fatigue disappeared immediately.
Here, men and women share a pool, undefended, and there are no obstacles between them. Bathed in the embrace of nature, naughty children scurry around like fish in the pool. Young men and women are in groups of three or five, bathing and chatting at home, or soaking their bodies and minds in water softly. Occasionally, a folk song stays in my ear for a long time with the sound of "rushing" spring water. This is the pool where young Dai men and women sing folk songs and love songs. It is said that local Dai girls and boys who love each other have the custom of bathing in hot springs at night. After taking a bath, women change clothes around skirts, and men hide behind big stones to change clothes. There are big stones beside the hot springs and banana forests! Some villagers who can do some small business have set up a simple Dai bamboo house here to sell snacks.
