Weinan, formerly known as Xialuan and Lianshao, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Shaanxi Province. Weinan is an important birthplace of the Chinese nation, known as the root of China, the source of culture, the hometown of three saints and the hometown of generals.
