This major cultivates the all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, grasps the basic theory, knowledge and skills of fine arts (teachers' class), is familiar with the law of fine arts education and teaching, understands the development trend of fine arts education at home and abroad, and has certain pioneering and innovative spirit and practical ability.

Application-oriented high-quality talents with the knowledge and ability of art education and teaching research in primary and secondary schools, who can engage in research, teaching and management related to art education in primary and secondary schools and education management departments. There are two research directions in fine arts: Chinese painting research and creation, and western painting research and creation.

The major of fine arts is to train professionals engaged in the study of fine arts culture, and graduates should meet the following requirements:

1. has extensive humanistic feelings, lofty artistic beliefs, good aesthetic quality and sincere and persistent artistic pursuit.

2. Have a solid basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills, and be able to grasp the law of creation and engage in creative activities from the height of art and culture.

3. Understand the origin and causes of plastic arts, be familiar with the history and present situation of Chinese and foreign arts, and be able to appreciate and evaluate various artistic works and artistic phenomena by using the general principles of artistic criticism.

4. Be able to read the foreign language materials of this major in a foreign language, have the ability to search and consult professional information on the Internet, and be physically and mentally healthy.
