Bilingual Education Policy in Inner Mongolia
In the process of learning and using teaching materials, the teaching and research section of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has made appropriate adjustments according to the teaching hours and reduced the content of teaching materials. On the one hand, following the national curriculum standards and keeping the unit knowledge system intact, the curriculum capacity is reduced.

Focus on reducing intensive reading items and defining intensive reading, follow-up reading, self-reading and extracurricular reading items to reduce students' learning pressure. On the other hand, there are also basic requirements for teaching evaluation. On the basis of ensuring the implementation of the basic requirements, all localities can appropriately expand the teaching content according to the actual situation of teachers and students.

Extended data:

In order to smoothly promote the use of textbooks compiled by the state in ethnic schools and effectively improve the quality of education, a counselor system is established during the transition period to provide after-school services such as extracurricular reading, homework counseling and answering questions for students with learning difficulties, which is not in contradiction with the state policy of reducing the burden on students. Carrying out after-school service in primary and secondary schools is an important way to expand learning space, develop quality education and implement the fundamental task of moral education.

In order to standardize after-school services, the Education Department of the Autonomous Region and other five departments issued the Notice on Further Strengthening and Regulating After-school Services for Primary and Secondary School Students this year, which standardized the objects and time of after-school services: in principle, primary schools should be no later than 17: 30, and junior high schools should be no later than 18: 00. At the same time, the content and form of services have also been standardized. The first and second grades of primary school are mainly team activities, extracurricular reading, practical activities and manual operation; The third to sixth grades are mainly extracurricular reading, homework guidance, interest groups, team activities and comprehensive practice; Junior high school students mainly focus on homework guidance, answering questions, extracurricular reading, community activities and comprehensive practice.

The after-school services provided by counselors in ethnic language teaching schools are organized according to the needs of students and the wishes of parents. It is a supplement to the regular teaching and guidance of normal study, and does not belong to the behavior of increasing students' extra academic burden.
