Relevant policies of higher vocational education
Legal Analysis: The Measures for the Administration of Specialty Setting of Higher Vocational Education (College) in Ordinary Colleges and Universities aims to accelerate the modernization of educational governance system and governance capacity, pay attention to market orientation, highlight the main responsibility of schools, and further implement and expand the specialty setting and adjustment autonomy of higher vocational colleges. Generally speaking, the new "Measures" emphasizes that "institutions of higher learning should set up and adjust their higher vocational majors independently according to the requirements of relevant regulations", and stipulates that in addition to special majors such as medicine, public security, justice and education, colleges and universities can set up higher vocational majors independently in the catalogue of guiding majors of higher vocational education in ordinary colleges and universities, and only need to file them. At the same time, the professional direction is completely set by colleges and universities, and the education department will no longer file or approve it.
