The school is responsible for organizing all kinds of seafarers to participate in the research and special training of the competency certificate of the National Maritime Safety Administration, the education of adult education books, junior college and professional certificates, the on-the-job training and continuing education of senior management cadres and technical cadres in the transportation system, as well as various technical trainings and senior seafarers training programs for Shanghai and Pudong.

20 15 Continuing Education College \ Shanghai Crew Training Center moved to Harbour Campus of Maritime University, No.2600 Pudong Avenue. The advantages and specialties of the College of Continuing Education are maritime higher education and professional training, while the advantages of Shanghai Crew Training Center are to provide extensive and systematic maritime professional ability and technical training, especially for senior seafarers.

The training scale and quality of colleges/centers have a certain popularity and influence in Shanghai and the national transportation system. According to statistics, the crew training department of our college has trained more than 30,000 captains, chief engineers, chief officers, second officers and third officers, and the training quality is among the best in China.
