Hefei University of Technology has two first-class disciplines: management science and engineering, mechanical design and theory, power electronics and power transmission, and agricultural products processing and storage engineering.

Power electronics and power transmission: a second-class key discipline, it is an interdisciplinary subject that has developed rapidly by integrating the new achievements of electric energy conversion, electromagnetism, automatic control, microelectronics, electronic information and computer technology.
