The positions that minority languages majors can choose include the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee, the Central Compilation Bureau, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Tourism Administration, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, the National Friendship Association, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

There are relatively few civil servants with small language counterparts, mainly concentrated in several major ministries and customs, and there are almost no local officials.
