Education has been a century-long problem, but what is the greatest benefit of education so far?
What are the benefits of education? Some people say that the meaning of education is to make people understand the responsibilities and obligations of a person to human society. Because only knowing your responsibilities and obligations is the premise of becoming a useful person, and only those who fulfill their responsibilities and obligations can become useful people.

The truly meaningful education should be to teach people the ability to adapt to society and to teach students the ability to help themselves, others and solve problems. Teach students to be an upright, kind, brave, determined, upright and indomitable person. Simply put, the significance of education lies in progress and in changing fate.

I stayed at home for half a year in 2020. One of my primary school classmates is from the countryside and plans to let her daughter go to kindergarten in the city. I heard that the kindergarten teacher asked her daughter to kill lice in her hair before coming to school. I remember when I was a child, my primary school classmates had lice on their heads.

Therefore, for the mother of my primary school classmate, her daughter has lice on her head, and her daughter's daughter has lice on her head. In other words, after decades, neither she nor her mother has made any progress. Learning is like sailing against the current. If you don't advance, you will retreat. So is life. Obviously, my primary school classmates' home is so unsanitary.

My primary school classmates can break their own bottleneck and choose to go to school in the city instead of letting their children go to school in the village. This is progress. I encouraged her to cut her children's hair short, buy some medicine for treating lice, rent a house in the city, and let her children go to school anyway. Of course, I'm not talking about the education level in Tucao Village or the education level in the city. The eyes of the masses are discerning, and everyone knows whether teaching is good or not and how the teaching conditions are.

I have read an article by President Li Chen-"Our understanding of education has been completely stripped by this epidemic", in which she wrote, "Students in China have learned too much rather than too little; It's not that students in China don't want to learn, but they can't learn. China students, not can't arrange their own time, but never have their own time ... "

Take my personal experience as an example. I received 17 years of education in China, including 1 year in Yuhong class, 6 years in primary school, 3 years in junior high school, 3 years in senior high school and 4 years in university. I am lucky to be a teacher after graduating from normal college, and go out of the countryside to work in the city. I hope my students and my children can grow up healthily. Because I received too much exam-oriented education when I was a child, I just read books.

I remember when I was in primary school, the classrooms in the school were very dangerous. When it rains in summer, schools have a holiday. Because I'm afraid the house will collapse. In junior high school, the quality of the house is better, but it is as cold as in primary school in winter, and there is a briquette stove in the classroom. In order to save fuel, the teacher refused to fully burn the briquettes, and sat in the classroom and barely felt less cold. If we use several words to describe the temperature, such as "very cold", "generally cold", "not so cold", "not too cold or too hot", "warm" and "very hot", then our classroom at that time can only be described as "not so cold".

When I was a teenager, my hands, feet and ears were frozen every winter because of the cold. It was not until spring and summer that the frostbite on my hands, feet and ears healed. After autumn, winter comes in another cycle. This situation didn't end until I was admitted to the county high school, because the classroom in the county high school has heating in winter, I am a resident student, and the dormitory also has heating, which is very warm.

Today, I often educate students, receive education and study hard, which is still the most effective, quickest and most reliable way to change my destiny. Of course, in my spare time, I also educate my children, take them back to the countryside to farm with their parents in spring, and collect grain with their parents in autumn. Educate children and cherish the beautiful life in front of them. Your grandfather's generation, your parents' generation, suffered too much.
