What is the historical form of educational development?
The 60-year education development in New China can be roughly divided into two periods, with the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party held in 1978 as the boundary, divided into the first 30 years and the last 30 years. In the first 30 years, there were three major mistakes or shocks in China's education, namely 1957, 1958-1960, and 10, the cultural revolution seriously damaged education. These three major mistakes are all caused by the "Left" guiding ideology. However, the above mistakes should not erase the achievements made in education in the past 30 years. Over the past 30 years, under the guidance of China's correct line, principles and policies, the exploration of building education in Socialism with Chinese characteristics has been successful. However, judging from the international competition, domestic modernization and people's diversified educational needs, China's education is still facing unprecedented severe challenges and many problems to be solved urgently. At the same time, we must be soberly aware that the basic national conditions in the primary stage of socialism determine that China supports the largest education in the world under the condition of weak economic strength, and also determine that the main contradiction facing education at this stage is the urgent need to improve the quality of the people and comprehensively cultivate all kinds of high-quality workers and innovative talents, as well as the contradiction between the people's growing strong desire for better and more education and the insufficient supply of quality education, especially the serious shortage of supply capacity of quality education. Therefore, it is imperative to deepen educational reform and innovative development.
