Almost all the top teachers of literature, history, philosophy and social sciences in Tsinghua have gathered in Xinya College, and the quality of general education courses can be said to be the top in China.

At the same time, the specialized courses of PPE in Xinya College will be taught by top teachers from Peking University, who will also teach specialized courses to PPE students. At the same time, PPE will also be taught by top teachers from NPC, Zhongshan, Fudan and other schools. In terms of teachers, Xinya College and Xinya PPE are both top-notch in China.

Second, the curriculum.

There are three kinds of courses offered by Xinya College, one is the general course of Xinya, the other is the specialized course of PPE, and the third is the specialized course of CDIE. The above three courses are offered by Xinya College or other departments, but "only Xinya students can choose courses". There is no doubt that the course quality of Xinya College is the best, and the general courses of humanities and social sciences are all offered by top teachers in Tsinghua.

The high quality of the course requires students to pay more attention to their studies, so the general course requires students to read, write and discuss. Most students don't have this ability when they are freshmen, but many students will make great progress when they are freshmen through the quality training of new Asian general education courses.

The running mode of Xinya College;

The newly established Xinya College, the experimental area of general education, will explore the comprehensive reform of the synergy between general education curriculum and formative education. New Asia College implements the residential college system, and all selected students arrange dormitory according to the principle of interdisciplinary and broad foundation. The college will become a cultural place and public space shared by teachers and students.

In terms of courses, four general courses have been newly established: Historical Records, History of Early Civilization in China, Law and Literature, and Art Enlightenment ... Tsinghua University Xinya Academy takes "civilization and value" as the main line, takes the excellent traditional Chinese ideology and culture and the outstanding achievements of world civilization as the core, and takes literature, history, philosophy, art and science as the basis, and is oriented to politics, economy and society.

The college will also hold "New Asia Lecture" and "New Asia Forum" and organize interest groups in science, humanities, music, fine arts and sports. It is expected that through in-depth study, effective discussion, interdisciplinary, teacher-student interaction and other links, the curriculum level and effectiveness of general education will be greatly improved, and students' comprehensive understanding and effective expression of civilization and value will be cultivated.
